One of A Kind(PDF)
One of a kind is motivating narrative drama in which the narrator is also a character in the story. The narrator is in jail and tells his inmate about how he ended up there. The story begins with Linda, the narrator reading a letter he wrote to his high school friend’s crush, who also happens to be his crush. He introduces us to Charmaine and explains how she grew up and conquered criticism, given that she had albinism.
Years later, both Charmaine and Linda grew apart. Linda fell in love with Joana, whom he tried to impress with a car and a shop that belonged to his boss, Amir. But Joana knew everything about him, and she was only using him to get to Amir since he was said to be rich and keep money somewhere in his shop. Amir is killed after Joana's men capture Linda and squeeze information out of him about where Amir puts his money. And Linda spends the rest of his life hiding in Joana’s shadow, working as an assassin. He is assigned a job to assassinate a mayor, and when the day finally arrives, he realizes that the mayor is someone he used to know and always loved.
